In 1802 it was planned to update the design of copper coins, was created a few projects which later the mint produced novodel coin. This option was eventually taken reverse (with minor changes), and instead of the monogram were minted national Emblem.
The obverse of the coin shows the monogram of Alexander I: a large stylized letter "А" under her Roman numeral dial "I" upstairs there is a large Imperial crown.
On the reverse is listed the face value "2.", below the word "КОПЕЙКИ" At the bottom the year of issue "1802.". Between the face value and year performed, the horizontal line thickening at center.
The circumference of the front and the reverse side has a raised rim (on some coins partially or completely absent).
