Description of coin Ducat 1730:

The coins had a fixed value, their weight was equal to the European ducats. The first version of the coins with the portrait of Anne in the beginning of the reign was produced only in 1730, in two variants: broad and narrow bust. The circumference of the front and back sides of the coin there is an edge, consisting of notches (maybe partially or completely absent).

On the obverse is a portrait of Anna Ioannovna in profile, face to the right. In a circle the inscription, divided into two parts - "•Б•М•АННА  IМПЕРАТРИЦА"(stands for "the grace of God Anna the Empress").

The reverse depicts the coat of arms of the Russian Empire the second quarter of the eighteenth century: the double-headed eagle with the lifted wings, crowned by two Imperial crowns, above the same crown but larger. Right Talon the eagle holds a scepter, the left power. On the eagle's breast, a round shield with the emblem of Moscow: St. George on horseback slaying a serpentine dragon with wings. The shield surrounded by chain of Order of St. Andrew. In a circle the inscription (starting at the top) - "IСАМОДЕРЖ•ВСЕРОСIИСКАЯ•1730"(letters converted basis inside).

The picture shows a copy from the exposition of the State Hermitage Museum, with a room HE-R-AZ-395.
