In 1727 the trial was released a few pennies at a par value of 2 cents, none of them was to mint serially. The obverse and reverse sides are surrounded by edging, comprising a base facing the inside of the letters "V"
On the obverse is placed the monogram of Catherine I - large letter "Е"with the Imperial crown. On the sides there are two large raised dots. At the bottom the year of issue "1727".
The reverse of the coin depicts St. George on horseback slaying a serpentine dragon with wings. The image is well detailed. Below the double horizontal line denotes the nominal value is "ГРОШЬ"
