Coin of this type was produced in 1763-1779, 1787-1791, and in 1793-1796. Coins with the letters em and the date "1793" and also part of the coins with letters "АМ"and the date "1793" and "1796" refer to Peresecina Pavlovsky, when 4 cents of the sample of 1796 distracting image 2 cents earlier time. Others may also have traces of overstriking, but 4 kopecks 1762, these instances could be made on temporary mints in Yaroslavl, Arkhangelsk, Polotsk, and also in the village of Porech'ye, Smolensk province, and in Nizhny Novgorod the Bishop's house.
The obverse of the coin shows the monogram of Catherine II of the letters of the "I"(Empress), "Е"(Catherine) and Roman numerals "II" Upstairs the Imperial crown. The sides of the year, is divided into two parts - "17" and "78". Image is surrounded by two branches connected at the bottom with a bow.
The reverse of the coin depicts George on horseback spearing a snake-like dragon with wings. A horse letters "Е"and "М"(Yekaterinburg coin). At the bottom of a semicircle stretching tape with a nominal value of "ДВЕ КОПЕЙКИ"
