Description of coin 4 kopecks 1796:

The obverse depicts a simplified monogram of Catherine II, made up of letters "Е"(Catherine) and Roman numerals "II" Upstairs the Imperial crown. On the sides there are two raised dots in the circle (only 4 pieces).

On the reverse , nominal value - the number "4" above, below, inscription in two lines - "ЧЕТЫРЕ КОПЕЙКИ" Downstairs there is a triple horizontal line, under which is listed the year "1796".

In 1796, by decree of P. Zubov was conducted lowering the copper coin of the foot 2 times, therefore a new design of coins from the penny to 10 cents.
