The coins had a fixed value, their weight was equal to the European ducats. Coins with the image of St. Andrew and the portrait of Elizabeth I was produced in 1749 and in 1751-1753. The circumference of the front and back sides, a rim consisting of teeth (may be partially or completely absent).
On the obverse is a portrait of Elizabeth I, in profile, face to the right. In a circle the inscription - "Б•М•ЕЛИСАВЕТЪ•I•IМПЕРАТРИЦА"(stands for "the grace of God Elizabeth I Empress").
On the reverse in full growth depicts the Apostle Andrew with an outstretched right hand. The Holy stands on a base made in the form of a turned down cuff. In a circle there are inscriptions (starting from the top): "1749 IСАМОДЕРЖ.ВСЕРОСИСКАЯ•"(the year of issue and title of the Empress).
