Description of coin Ruble 1897 (two stars on the edge):

The coin is made of silver of 900 fineness. The obverse and reverse sides have a protruding around the circumference of the rim with inward-facing teeth shaped "Ω"

The obverse of the coin shows the profile of Nicholas II face to the left. To the left of the profile from the bottom up in a semicircle along the rim is the inscription: "Б.М.НИКОЛАЙ II ИМПЕРАТОРЪ"("Б.М."means "God's grace"). To the right of the profile also circumferentially along the rim, but top to bottom the inscription: "И САМОДЕРЖЕЦЪ ВСЕРОСС."

On the coin reverse in the Central part of the depiction of the Small State Emblem of the Russian Empire of the sample of 1883. The coat of arms double-headed eagle crowned with two Imperial crowns, above is the same crown, but a larger size is associated with lower crowns waving a tape of Andrew's order.
