Description of coin Poltina 1797 (SEE FTS):

In 1797, a new design of coins, while the weight remains the same. In 1798, the foot of the silver coins were reduced by almost half, poltinas 1797 became known as "weighted".

The obverse of the coin is the monogram of Paul I, consisting of four large letters "П" set around Roman numerals "I" United at the base. Above the letters is placed the Imperial crown. Around along the rim inscriptions: at the top - "ПОЛ ТИНА" below - "1797 ГОДА"

On the coin reverse in double square frame, surrounded by a stylized pattern, the inscription in four lines - "НЕ НАМЪ, НЕ НАМЪ, А ИМЯНИ ТВОЕМУ." Under the inscription are the letters: left - "С.М."(St. Petersburg coin), right "Ф.Ц"(initials of mintmaster mint).
