Description of coin Poltina 1727 (SPB):

Poltina by Peter II portrait of the Saint-Petersburg mint. Has two versions: with letters "СПБ"under the portrait without them. Produced only in 1727. In a circle the front side has the edge with the tines facing inward in a circle back - threadlike Kant (on some coins of Kant can be partially missing, it is not a marriage).

On the obverse there is a profile of Peter II, face right. In a circle the inscription - "ПЕТРЪ II•IМПЕРАТОРЪ ИСАМОДЕРЖЕЦЪ•ВСЕРОСIСКИ"

The reverse depicts a simplified coat of arms of the Russian Empire in the mid XVIII century: the double-headed eagle with the lifted wings, crowned by two Imperial crowns, above the same crown but larger. Right Talon the eagle holds a scepter, the left power. Under the clutches of the eagle the letters "SP B" (Saint-Petersburg). In a circle the inscription (starting at the top) - "МОНЕТА НОВАЯ ЦЕНА ПОЛТИНА 1727"(letters facing inside the base, the words divided by trefoils).

The picture shows a copy from the exposition of the State Hermitage with the number IT-R-2-5465.
