Coins of this type developed in 1760, when count P. I. Shuvalov proposed a project to increase the mint of the foot 2 times (up to 32 rubles from pounds of copper). Under Elizabeth to realize the project did not, and with coming to power of Emperor Peter III began a massive pereselenka old coins into new ones with higher nominal value of 2 times. Minted Polushka, Denga, kopeck, 2 kopecks, 5 kopecks. Pereselenka was conducted on the main mints of the time: Saint Petersburg, Krasny Dvor in Moscow, Yekaterinburg and on the Sestroretsk arms factory and at the temporary mints in Yaroslavl, Nizhny Novgorod, in the village of Porechye, Smolensk governorate.

Because of the image of military fittings, coins of this type have received unofficial names "drum" and "reinforcement". In 1763 Catherine the great ordered the return of the old weight coins, and then almost weight the period of her reign were pereselenka with a return to former value, but with new patterns and monogram of Catherine.

Coins of the sample of 1762, were very little, and now they are of great value. Available a huge number of copies that novice collectors are often confused with originals, as a rule, they are made very rough by the casting method have a very smooth and poorly detailed the elements of the picture.
The coins presented in the photos are in the collections of their owners and are not sold
