The coin of this denomination with the portrait of Peter I in clothes reminiscent of ancient armor and the title of "Emperor", was produced in the years 1723-1725. The circumference of the front and back sides of the coin there is the relief of Kant (may be partially or completely absent).
On the obverse is a portrait of Peter the great in profile, face to the right. In a circle the inscription (starting at the top) - "ПЕТРЪ • А • IМПЕРАТ • I САМОДЕР • ВСЕРОСИСКИ •"(stands for "Peter, Emperor and Autocrat of all Russia").
On the reverse in full growth depicts the Apostle Andrew against the background of the cross with his outstretched right hand. The Holy stands on a base made in the form of a rectangle. In a circle there are inscriptions (starting from below): "23 МОНЕТА НОВА ЦЕНА ДВА РУБЛI 17"(denomination and date of issue, divided into two parts).
