Description of coin Bortovoy sign 1705:

Among the many reforms of Peter the Great was conducted in an attempt to force people to shave beards (as in Europe). To wear a beard was allowed only to those who have made a certain amount (initially it was 1 ruble 20 kopecks) and received a special badge. Round tokens of this type is known only with the date "1705", square produced in 1724-1725.

On the obverse of the badge at the top the emblem of Russia at the beginning of the XVIII century - double-headed eagle with outstretched wings, on the heads of the Royal crown, over which is the same, but larger. In paws the eagle holds the symbols of power - the scepter and Orb. In the middle the date of minting of the old Slavonic letters (1705), below the floor "ГОДА"

On the reverse of the badge is the inscription in two lines - "ДЕНГИ  ВЗЯТЫ" below is a picture of the nose, beard and mustache. In the left part is the impressed mark in the form of the Russian coat of arms.

The circumference of the front and back sides of the badge there is a rim of leaves.
