Description of coin Poltina 1725 (SPB):

Poltina with a portrait of a sample of 1725, St. Petersburg mint produced only in 1725. Front and back of the braid is surrounded by a rim (partially or completely absent, this is not a marriage).

On the obverse is a portrait of Peter the Great in profile, face to the right. Under the portrait letters "СПБ"(Saint-Petersburg). Of the circumference - "* ПЕТРЪ • I • ИМПЕРАТОРЪ • IСАМОДЕРЖЕЦЪ • ВСЕРОССIИСКIИ *"("Peter I,Emperor and autocrat of all Russia").

On the coin reverse in the center the emblem of Russia at the beginning of the XVIII century - double-headed eagle with outstretched wings, on the heads of the Royal crown, over which is the same, but larger. In paws the eagle holds the symbols of power - the scepter and Orb. The top of the circle marked with the coin denomination and year of minting - "МОНЕТА * НОВАЯ * ЦЕНА * ПОЛТИНА * 1725"
