A trial version of penny, minted in the years 1718-1721 is star above denomination instead of letters "ВР П"
The obverse of the coin depicts the emblem of Russia at the beginning of the XVIII century - double-headed eagle with outstretched wings, on the heads of the Royal crown, over which is the same, but larger. In paws the eagle holds the symbols of power - the scepter and Orb.
The reverse of the coin there is a star below the denomination in two lines - "ПОЛУ ШКА" still below date mintage figures - "171I8".
