The ruble with a portrait of this type was produced only in 1722, there is a large and a small monogram on the reverse. Front and back of the braid is surrounded by a rim (partially or completely absent, this is not a marriage).
On the obverse is a portrait of Peter the Great in profile, face to the right. Of the circumference - "ПЕТРЪ • А • ИМПЕРАТОРЪ • IСАМОДЕРЖЕЦЪ • ВСЕРОССИIСКИI"("Peter, Emperor and autocrat of all the Russias", the beginning and the end of the label, separated by a star).
On the reverse is the monogram of Peter I, consisting of four large letters "П" arranged in a circle and United in the upper part. Between letters diagonally placed Roman numerals "I" Opposite each letter "П"a Imperial crown. In the middle of the monogram specify the year of issue, divided into two parts - "17 22". In a circle the inscription, divided into 4 parts (starting from top) - "МОНЕТА НОВАЯ ЦЕНА РУБЛЬ"(letters converted basis inside).
