Description of coin 5 rubles 2003 (MMD):

The obverse of the coin depicts in the middle the emblem of the Bank of Russia - double-headed eagle with drooping wings, above the emblem in a semi-circle along the rim stretches the name of the denomination of the coin "ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ" and at the bottom in a smaller font inscription "БАНК РОССИИ" also done on a circle with the same radius. Under the right paw of the eagle is a mark of the mint, which minted the coin (MMD - Moscow). In the lower part of the coin field, displays the year of issue "2003", separated from the upper part of the figure by two horizontal lines, tapering to the edge, separated by a dot.

The reverse features a large numeral "5" is nominal, the figure is slightly offset from the Central axis to the left. Under the denomination of a word "РУБЛЕЙ" centered in relation to the nominal value. In the left, bottom and right parts of the field of the coin is the ornament of branches of plants.

Coin gray made of copper clad with cupronickel. Ferromagnetic properties has not. On the front and back sides on the circumference there is a raised rim. GURT coin consists of 24 sites issued in two variants - 5 reefs and without notches.
