The obverse of the coin depicts St. George on horseback, slaying a serpent. Under the front hoof of a horse "color:GREEN; "there is no stamp of the mint. The bottom field of the coin around the circumference indicate the year of issue "2003" and above the inscription "БАНК РОССИИ" split the head of St. George into two parts.
On the reverse a large figure "5" marked with the denomination of the coin (the figure slightly off-center to the right). Below the floor "КОПЕЕК" located at the center with respect to the number "5". Bottom left relief depicts a floral ornament, slightly protruding on the right side.
Around the circumference of the coin there is a raised rim. The edge is smooth, without any images and notches.
5 cents 2003 with no mint mark is considered rare and highly prized coin among collectors. It was released at the Moscow mint.
