depicts the monument to the defenders of the city in 1812, which allegorically depicted victory over Napoleon's army. On a circle the inscription: top - "БОЙ ПРИ ВЯЗЬМЕ" below - "ОТЕЧЕСТВЕННАЯ ВОЙНА 1812 ГОДА"(labels separated by dots).
The obverse and reverse sides have a protruding on the circumference of the piping.

The battle took place on October 22 (November 3 new style) 1812. Napoleon's army, moving from Moscow to Smolensk to reinforce the provisions and location for the winter, strongly stretched. In Vyazma there were four infantry corps, with a total population of 37 thousand people, who were attacked by Russian troops. Competent actions of Russian generals has led to huge losses of the French.
