depicts the main monument on the Borodino field. On a circle the inscription: top - "БОРОДИНСКОЕ СРАЖЕНИЕ" below - "ОТЕЧЕСТВЕННАЯ ВОЙНА 1812 ГОДА"(labels separated by dots).
The obverse and reverse sides have a protruding on the circumference of the piping.

The biggest battle of the Patriotic war of 1812, as well as the biggest in history among the day. Occurred on August 26 (September 7 new style), near the village of Borodino, 125 km West from Moscow. The battle was attended by more than 100 thousand soldiers on each side, and more than a thousand guns. The total loss was about 25% French and 30% Russian. The victory is not won by anybody, but this battle marked the beginning of further success of the Russian army. After a few days at the Council at Fili decided to leave Moscow to preserve the army.
The 100th anniversary of the battle of Borodino in 1912, was created a memorial complex with about two dozen monuments, located in various points on the battlefield (near the village of Borodino). Earlier here there was Spaso-Borodino convent, founded by the widow of one of the dead generals. To celebrate the 200th anniversary of the victory of the entire complex was renovated.
