The obverse of the coin

(consists of letters "ММД". On the left, near Kant is one small part of a floral ornament.The reverse of the coin
shows part of a memorial complex in Kiev near Museum of the great Patriotic war. On a circle the inscription: top - "БИТВА ЗА ДНЕПР" at the bottom in a smaller font - "ВЕЛИКАЯ ОТЕЧЕСТВЕННАЯ ВОЙНА 1941-1945 гг."(labels separated by five-pointed stars).
The obverse and reverse sides have a protruding on the circumference of the piping.

After the victory in the Caucasus and Kursk, German forces were forced to retreat in the direction of Ukraine, leaving behind destroyed cities and towns. Fighting on the banks of the Dnieper was held from 26 August to 23 December 1943, the length of the front line reached 750 miles. The result was liberated Kiev and almost the entire left Bank Ukraine. All the battle involved nearly 4 million soldiers and 80 thousand pieces of equipment.
