On the obverse there is the relief image of the emblem of the Bank of Russia: double-headed eagle with the lowered wings, under it an inscription a semicircle - "БАНК РОССИИ" Surrounds the logo is a ring of raised dots. Over the ring in a semicircle along the edge to set the denomination in words - "СТО РУБЛЕЙ" at the bottom a semicircle of metal - "Au 900" (900 gold samples), year of issue "2009", weight of pure metal in grams - "of 15.55" and the sign of the Saint-Petersburg mint
. All inscriptions are separated from each other by points.
The reverse shows three coins, each of which refers to one of the three great monetary reforms: top - silver ruble of Nicholas I (reform of E. F. Kankrin 1839-1843.), on the left - a gold Imperial, Nicholas II (reform Witte 1895-1898.), on the right - a gold Ducat of the first releases (reform G. Y. Sokolnikov 1922-1924). Images of coins are placed in a ring, which is only a tenner. Around the ring on a circle the inscription: top - "ИСТОРИЯ ДЕНЕЖНОГО ОБРАЩЕНИЯ" below - "РОССИИ" Image smooth matte surface.
On the obverse and reverse sides of the coin there is acting on the circumference of the piping.
