On the obverse there is the relief image of the emblem of the Bank of Russia: double-headed eagle with the lowered wings, under it an inscription a semicircle - "БАНК РОССИИ" Surrounds the logo is a ring of raised dots. Over the ring in a semicircle along the edge to set the denomination in words - "ПЯТЬДЕСЯТ РУБЛЕЙ" at the bottom a semicircle of metal is "Au 999" (999 gold), the year of issue "2008", weight of pure metal in grams - "7,78" and the mint mark. All inscriptions are separated from each other by points.
The reverse depicts St. George slaying the serpent. The image of this Saint was chosen for the most popular investment coins no accident: since ancient times it was revered in Russia as a symbol of the struggle against evil. Also St. George is present on the coat of arms of Russia and Moscow.
On the obverse and reverse sides of the coin there is acting on the circumference of the piping.
