The obverse of the coin
in the ring of dots depicts the emblem of the Bank of Russia (the eagle with drooping wings), under the right paw mark of the Moscow mint
(stylized letters "ММД". From the outside of the ring up in a semicircle along the rim the inscription: "ОДИН РУБЛЬ 1993 г." below "БАНК РОССИИ"(the inscriptions are separated by ornaments, consisting of rhombuses).The reverse of the coin
depicts bust relief portrait of K. A. Timiryazev in front, underneath the semicircle inscription: "К.А. ТИМИРЯЗЕВ" In the left portion placed date of birth, "1843", right date of death - "1920". To the left of the portrait depicts a laboratory flask with the plant (the leaves visible streaks).
The obverse and reverse of the coin features the speaker on the circumference of the piping.
