Embossing is produced on the workpiece consisting of two metals - and-white copper-Nickel ring, inside which copper-zinc disk. The obverse and reverse sides have a protruding on the circumference of the piping.
The obverse of the coin in the center of the specified value: a large number "10" under it horizontally is the word "РУБЛЕЙ" still below the mark of the Leningrad mint (stylized letters "ЛМД". The white rim above the inscription: "БАНК РОССИИ" at the bottom the year of issue: "1992". The inscriptions are separated by sprigs of Laurel.
On the coin reverse in the center (yellow disk) the image of a tiger in a thicket of grass, above it a branch of the tree. On a circle above the inscription - "КРАСНАЯ КНИГА" below - "АМУРСКИЙ ТИГР" Labels separated by dots.
Refers to a series of 15 bimetal coins dedicated to the animals of the red book.

The Amur tiger is the only species of tigers in the territory of Russia, is also the most Northern tiger. Lives in the Primorsky and Khabarovsk regions of Russia and in northeast China. The size and weight superior to other members of the species, has a thicker coat and shorter ears. Body length up to 3 meters, weight up to 300 kg. Of active hunting to the middle of the XX century the number of tigers was reduced to 30 individuals, and then issued a ban on hunting. Now in the wild, is home to about 450 species, which is close to the possible limit (each requires a large area). In the zoos of the world lives about the same. In Yakutia it is planned to allocate land for additional settlement.
