Embossing is produced on the workpiece consisting of two metals - and-white copper-Nickel ring, inside which copper-zinc disk. The obverse and reverse sides have a protruding on the circumference of the piping.
The obverse of the coin in the center of the specified value: a large number "10" under it horizontally is the word "РУБЛЕЙ" still below the mark of the Leningrad mint (stylized letters "ЛМД". The white rim above the inscription: "БАНК РОССИИ" at the bottom the year of issue: "1992". The inscriptions are separated by sprigs of Laurel.
On the coin reverse in the center (the yellow disk), the image of the Central Asian Cobra among the rocks and thorns. On a circle above the inscription - "КРАСНАЯ КНИГА" below - "СРЕДНЕАЗИАТСКАЯ КОБРА" Labels separated by dots.
Refers to a series of 15 bimetal coins dedicated to the animals of the red book.

Central Asian Cobra - largest venomous snake, reaching 2 meters in length. Has a brown color, darkening with age. Dwells in the steppe and semi-desert areas of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan and Northern India. Like all cobras, in case of danger rises and opens the hood. The bite does only the second time, to avoid wasting the poison is wasted. Feeds, as a rule, amphibians.
