The obverse of the coin
in the ring of dots in relief is depicted the dome of the Senate building in the Moscow Kremlin and Spasskaya tower, right of the turret the mark of the Leningrad mint (stylized letters "ЛМД". The battle of Kursk took place from July 5 to August 23 1943, the next phase of relief operations after the victory at Stalingrad.
