The battle of Berlin took place from April 16 to may 8, 1945, April 25 took place the famous meeting on the Elbe, in which the Nazi army was split into two parts. Six months before the heads of the USSR, the UK and the USA agreements were reached on the post-war division of Europe, in which Berlin and its surroundings have been fully accrue to the Soviet Union. But seeing a good situation, Prime Minister Churchill decided to move its troops to Berlin first, though the plans have failed. This battle was recorded in the Guinness Book of records as the largest in history (3.5 million soldiers, almost 8 thousand tanks, more than 11 thousand aircraft and more than 50 thousand guns), on the number of troops slightly inferior to the battle of the Dnieper, but the timing was much more compressed. The result was the destruction of the entire military and political leadership of Germany, the triumphant capture of Berlin by Soviet troops on 2 may, a show of force the red Army to Western countries intending to organize a post-war Union (to avoid that and failed), the release of hundreds of thousands of concentration camp prisoners and prisoners of war.
The only version of the release of this coin. Made proof finish with the use of stamps, polished to a mirror Shine, while the relief has not been polished. Ideally a mirror surface and frosted design. The term proof-like (proof-like) indicates the possible presence of barely visible defects in the production and sales, missing out on the proof (proof). The coins were distributed sealed in an airtight cellophane packaging, then could shift collectors in a plastic capsule.
