The act of unconditional surrender of Germany was signed on may 7, at 2:41 CET in Reims, entered into force on 23:01 may 8 (in the USSR it was already may 9), but on the same day was signed once again in the suburbs of Berlin at the request of Stalin. Thus, in Europe Victory Day is celebrated on may 8 and in the former Soviet Union on 9 may.
The final defeat of disparate remnants of the Nazi army took place only on may 12. The signing of a peace Treaty between Germany and the Soviet Union took place 10 years later in 1955.
The only version of the release of this coin. Made proof finish with the use of stamps, polished to a mirror Shine, while the relief has not been polished. Ideally a mirror surface and frosted design. The term proof-like (proof-like) indicates the possible presence of barely visible defects in the production and sales, missing out on the proof (proof). The coins were distributed sealed in an airtight cellophane packaging, then could shift collectors in a plastic capsule.
