Since the beginning of 90-ies we had several proposals to adopt the symbol of the Russian ruble, like the major world currencies. It was even more informal competitions, the organizers of which sent the selected image to the Central Bank. The result has selected 10 variants, of which 5 participated in the anonymous survey of the Central Bank, held from 5 November to 5 December 2013. First place went to the option proposed by the designers, he got 61% of the vote.
