Description of coin 10 rubles 2014 "The winners of the Games of the XXX Olympiad of 2012 in London":

The coin is made of brass, the size and weight match the Olympic bronze medals. The obverse and reverse sides have a protruding on the circumference of the piping.

The obverse of the coin in the centre circle inside the ring of dots is the logo of the Bank of Russia - double-headed eagle with the lowered wings, under which semi-circle the inscription "БАНК РОССИИ" From the outside point of the ring at the top in a semicircle, nominal value - "ДЕСЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ" at the bottom between two points - the year of issue "2014", bottom right mark of the Moscow mint (consists of letters "ММД". Around the spiral contained the names of 47 of the Russian bronze medalist of the Summer Olympic games in London 2012.

On the coin reverse there is a background, the upper (larger) part of which is covered with complex patterns on the Matt surface, the lower (smaller) has a different pattern on the mirror surface, and a square with a QR code. In the foreground on the left is a raised Laurel branch to the right stylized images of athletes, made according to ancient drawings. In the middle on top of the figures is an inscription in 4 lines - "РОССИЙСКИЕ СПОРТСМЕНЫ - БРОНЗОВЫЕ ПРИЗЕРЫ" the inscription below in a smaller font - "ЛОНДОН-2012"

Artists - A. D. schablykin (obverse), A. A. Brynza (reverse) sculptor E. A. tolzin. The coin was released on June 17, 2014, nearly two years after the Olympics.


Summer Olympics 2012 held in London from 27 July to 12 August. London took game for the third time (previously in 1908 and 1948). Russian athletes in this competition in the medal standings ranked 4th in gold medals, number of silver third, and bronze first.
