Information about the existence of at least one instance of 2 cents of 1942 are missing. However, in the archive of the Saint Petersburg mint
there is information on the issue in 1942, 2-kopeichikov in the amount of 9 rubles (450 pieces). Probably we are talking about the minting of coins with a different date. In most catalogs the coin is not mentioned at all.
The obverse shows the large coat of arms of the USSR of the sample of 1936 with 11 bands of tape on the ears of wheat (the number of Union republics). The lower belt connects the bundles of stalks together and represents the RSFSR, the rest is distributed 5 units on each side. The coat of arms is simplified and has no text on the ribbon. Under the arms along the rim there is an inscription "СССР"(the extreme letters are above average).
On the reverse at the top there is a large number "2" indicating the denomination under it - the word "КОПЕЙКИ" centered in relation to the nominal value. Below with the year "1942", a round point. The sides along the rim are two wheat ears, crossed at the bottom. The stems of ears have continued, held along the rim in the upper part of the coin together. Along the stems there are 7 plots, consisting of 2 points.
