The coin is issued for the Summer Olympic games in Moscow in 1980. Total circulation - 315006 PCs (107 928 quality brilliant uncirculated, the rest Uncirculated).
The obverse of the coin is divided into two parts (upper approximately in 2 times more low). Each piece is framed with a solid line. In the upper part of the emblem of the USSR of the sample of 1956 with 15 bands of the tape (number of republics). The coat of arms is simplified and has no inscriptions on the ribbon. Left and right of the emblem there is an inscription "СССР" divided into two parts ("СС"and "СР". The letters are arranged in a semicircle, skirting the crest. At the bottom of the obverse in the middle is the denomination - a large number "10", underneath, in smaller font the word "РУБЛЕЙ"
In the foreground of the reverse shows two boxers during a fight, in the background the building in which the competitions in Boxing. Above the building on the left is the emblem of the Olympics-80. Right below the triple feature is the mark of a mint (LMD - Leningrad). At the top along the rim, a semicircular inscription stretches "ИГРЫ XXII ОЛИМПИАДЫ" below along the rim inscriptions: "МОСКВА"and "1980", separated by dots. The bottom of the coin near the middle of edging and the year of issue "1979".
On the front and back parts of the coin along the circumference has a raised rim.
Boxing is known since ancient times, there was the ancient Greek Olympic games. Athletes compete with each other, dealing blows to the face.
