Mihai Eminescu (1850-1889) - the Romanian and Moldova's national poet. In Russian language its name is often paraphrased into Michael, which is essentially the same thing. He was born and lived in Romania. Considered a classic of Romanian literature, but because of the similarity of the Moldovan language from Romanian, in Moldova is also revered as the author of the national works.
