Is the oldest building in Moscow, preserved in its original form. The architecture is partially similar to the Cathedral in Vladimir, but has a slightly smaller size. The temple remained the main Cathedral of Russia to move the capital to St. Petersburg, and the burial place of Moscow metropolitans, and later the patriarchs. It was crowned all Russian rulers from Ivan the terrible to Nicholas II. Of interest is the frescoes that decorated the entire interior, including columns and arches. The Cathedral contains ancient icons from the XII century.
